Utilization Management
MedWatch, LLC has been in business as a Utilization
Management and Large Case Management company since 1988 and has been providing services
continually since that time. We are one of a select few companies in the nation to hold
dual URAC (American Association HealthCare Commission) accreditation in Health Utilization
Management and Case Management. In addition, we are certified in any state requiring
Review Organization certification. We are a proactive company who has worked directly with
employer groups as well as in-house with TPAs. Our staff is trained to work with the
Reinsurance market and has many years or experience in this area. Additionally, our staff
is familiar with all aspects of the self-funded process including working with reinsurers,
underwriters, brokers, sales staff, claims and carriers. We have access to several
national networks to assist in cost containment.
MedWatch is large enough to handle a large volume of business,
yet small enough to give that special attention our customers deserve. Our staff consists
of degreed Registered Nurses, many with Master’s degrees. Our RNs have a combined
total of over 500 years of nursing experience and more than 150 years combined utilization
review and case management experience. Many
have national ABQAURP and Case Management certification. Our nurses are currently licensed
in the state of Florida and must be a graduate of a nationally accredited
school of
Nursing with a
minimum of seven years of Medical-surgical clinical experience. In addition to our nurses,
we employ full-time clerical support, accounting staff, and MIS staff. We have a Physician
Review panel of Board Certified physicians, who are in active practice and are board
certified in their specialty. We also have a Medical Director who is contracted and board
certified.
