  Information Technology Manager
Hours Full-time

Description Scope: Information Technology Manager oversees and manages the effective day-to-day operations of information technology and ensures strategic and operational alignment with organizational objectives and enterprise IT goals and objectives. Additionally, directly oversees technology, infrastructure, and IT operations related to all MedWatch, LLC solutions including hardware, software, operating systems, and applications deployed enterprise-wide with a primary focus in software application development.

Essential Functions:
• Responsible for IT Operations Management: Overall IT Operations Management, Resource Management, Processes & Standards Implementation, Incident Management, Technical Management, Information Security Management.
• Updates Policy & Procedures as necessary. Ensures that all staff is fully trained on policy and procedures.
• Establishes and maintains IT goals, objectives, and development.
• Manages multiple information and communication systems including voice, data, and projects.
• Represents IT on appropriate business committees
• Promotes sharing of information through documentation and distribution of best-demonstrated practices.
• Understands the implications of technology solutions to organizational workflow & operations; communicates to key stakeholders
• Identifies process improvement opportunities & challenges and communicates them to appropriate stakeholders for planning & action
• Responds to client requests including investigation and resolution of issues where necessary.
• Adhere to all company policies as stated in the employee handbook

Project Portfolio & Project Implementation Management:
• Advisory contact to all levels of management across the organization for developing and implementing information technology solutions.
• Managing the Portfolio of Work
• Managing Individual Projects as assigned
• Leads Project Management Office (PMO) and advisory board

Staff Operations:
• Supervises Network Administrator(s), Application Developers, and Systems Support Staff.
• Determines staffing needs of the department and consults with the CIO regarding optimal staffing.
• Coordinates the assignment of resources to IT projects, operations, & incidents.
• Communicates & supports IT governance processes & practices
• Staff Development: Staffing and Recruiting, Career Development, Mentoring and Coaching, Succession Planning, Performance Management

Financial Operations:
• Review, approve and send vendor invoices monthly.
• Works with CIO to develop and monitor the approved annual operating and capital budgets for information and technology systems.

Education/Training:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred or related Certification course work
Experience in Self-Funded Health Insurance Industry Preferred
Extensive experience in software application development project management required

Work Environment / Physical Demands: This position is in a typical office/home office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
